Zica Monastery Black Coffee Mug
Zica Monastery stands as one of the most sacred and historically significant monasteries in the Serbian Orthodox Church. Founded in the early 13th century by Saint Sava of Serbia and his brother King Stefan the First-Crowned, Zica served as the seat of the Serbian Archbishopric and the coronation church of Serbian medieval kings. Its distinctive red-painted walls, Byzantine frescoes and ancient stone architecture make it one of the most recognisable symbols of Serbian Orthodox Christianity. The monastery is dedicated to the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ and continues to this day as a living monastic community of prayer and witness.
"I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord." (Psalm 122:1)
O Lord Jesus Christ, through the prayers of all the holy monks and saints who have prayed within the walls of Zica Monastery, have mercy on us and save us. Amen.
This mug makes a deeply meaningful gift for baptisms, name days, Serbian Orthodox feast days, Easter, Christmas or any occasion where faith is honoured and celebrated.
