Ugandan Orthodox Embroidered Beanie
Reuben Spartas founded an independent African Orthodox movement in Uganda in the early twentieth century, choosing connection to the ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria when the Church there formally received his community in 1946. A faith chosen this deliberately fits close to the head, carried by people who sought it out themselves.
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you.” (John 15:16)
O Lord, who didst guide Reuben Spartas to bring Thy ancient Church to Uganda, keep that chosen faith alive in all who carry it now. Amen.
This Orthodox Cross beanie makes a meaningful gift for name days, baptisms, feast days, or for anyone who could use a little warmth and faith on cold-weather mornings.
