Trinity Lavra of Saint Sergius Coffee Mug
The Trinity Lavra of Saint Sergius in Sergiev Posad, Russia, is the spiritual heart of the Russian Orthodox Church and one of the most important monasteries in the entire Orthodox world. Founded in 1337 by Saint Sergius of Radonezh, the greatest saint of Russia, the Lavra has stood for nearly seven centuries as a centre of prayer, theology, monastic life and Orthodox culture. It houses the relics of Saint Sergius himself, which have never ceased to work miracles. The Lavra survived Mongol invasion, the Time of Troubles and the Soviet persecution of the Church. Today it remains a living monastery, a theological academy and a place of constant pilgrimage for Orthodox Christians from around the world.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." (Proverbs 3:5)
O Holy Father Sergius, great wonderworker of Russia, intercede before the Holy Trinity for all who venerate thy holy Lavra and seek thy powerful guidance and protection. Amen.
This mug makes a cherished gift for baptisms, name days, Russian Orthodox feast days, Easter, Christmas or any occasion where the Orthodox faith is honoured.
