Saint Alexandra Feodorovna Orthodox Christian Coffee Mug

The Holy Royal Passion-bearer Empress Alexandra Feodorovna of Russia is venerated in the Russian Orthodox Church as a holy passion-bearer, glorified together with her husband Tsar Nicholas II and their five children as the Holy Royal Family. Born Princess Alix of Hesse in 1872, granddaughter of Queen Victoria of Great Britain, she converted to the Orthodox faith upon her engagement to the Tsarevich Nicholas in 1894, embracing it with total sincerity and deep personal conviction. She became one of the most devout members of the Russian Imperial family, devoted to prayer, the sacraments and works of charity. She bore the devastating trial of her beloved son Alexei's haemophilia with extraordinary faith. During the First World War she trained as a nurse and worked tirelessly in the hospitals. She bore her imprisonment and the final days of her life with remarkable composure, faith and love for her family. She was shot together with her husband and children in Yekaterinburg in July 1918. Her feast day is celebrated in July together with the entire Holy Royal Family.
